Fields on the Display Settings tab for items

The following fields are shown on the Display Settings tab for item records:

 Display?

Set this option if you want the item to appear in your product catalog. If you clear this option, the item will remain in the database but will not show in your online store. 

You can enter start and end dates and times that control when the item will appear in the catalog. If you leave the end date and time blank, it will appear until you manually clear the display setting.

Searchable Set this option if you want the item to be available in the search facility in your online store. 
Sellable? Set this option to make the item available to buy when a customer finds the item in your online store. If you clear this option, the item will be shown but not for sale. 
Obsolete? Set this option to mark an item as obsolete. This implies it will not longer be available.
Order Position Choose the position this item will appear in the Flashes section of your catalog.
Virtual file name This is a file name that is assigned to the item and is updated automatically. You can reset this using the link below the field.
Page Title Metadata Type the metadata that is used as a title of the web page when this item is shown online.
Page Description Metadata Type the metadata that is used as a description on the web page when this item is shown online.
Keywords Metadata Type the keywords that are used to identify the item in searches. Separate each word or phrase with a comma.
Content Tags You can manage the content tags that are used to help search for items that have a given tag name.
Content Categories You can manage the categories that are used to help locate the item in the catalog. You can also select the vocabulary that is used for the categories. 
Language Choose the language that applies to this item. You can then choose whether the item is available in other languages; either all or selected ones.
Market Availability Use the settings to control which markets the item is available to customers browsing the online store. For example, you might want to sell the product is specific markets, zones, such as the European Union, or a particular country. Catalog Views You can assign the item to a catalog view. These are set up using the Catalog Views option on the Settings menu.
Sections Use the settings to manage which catalog sections the item appears in.
