You can import details of contacts from a CSV (comma separated values) file.
If you already have contact details in the database, you can export these details and either update them or add new ones, then upload the amended file.
Checking your file before sending it to us
It's a good idea to check carefully the format of the CSV file you want to upload before you import it. Once you’ve sent us your file we’ll process it to make sure it’s in the right format and contains the information we’re expecting. If there are any errors in your file, the import will be abandoned. You’ll get a message to let you know.
Completing the details you want to upload
Look as the document Importing contact details for a list of the fields you can import and the format acceptable for each field. When you've completed the spreadsheet, save it in CSV format.
To import CSV file
- On the Contacts & Emails menu, click Contacts.
- Click Import Contacts.
- Click the link Upload the .CSV file to catalog360. The CSV File Upload form appears.
- Click Choose File and browse to locate the file on your computer.
- Click Upload CSV file.
Assuming the file is in the correct CSV format, the system validates and import your contacts. You can keep track of the progress of the import on the CSV File Upload form.
You'll get an email to let you know the outcome, including information about any invalid entries.
